    Default Light Machines TMC1000

I am looking for some advice before I start this re build. I purchased the TMC 1000 which is in good mechanical condition. The computer died some time in the past so whomever cut all of the wiring off of it and added hand wheels with no graduations rendering it pretty useless. I rebuilt a Shopbot buddy 4X4 CNC router found here. [URL="http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/showthread.php?22712-BT48-Rebuild"] I have not delved into the electro-mechanical side of things though and figured I could get some pointers here. I was looking at Mach 4, Automation Technologies for the hardware. I am also interested in the ESS com board. Will 425 IN/OZ steppers be too much for this machine? What about replacing the permenant mag motor with a servo with speed control.
    Thanks DD
