Default X2 completed for now maybe

Heres some pics of my Harbor Freight X2 that I finished cncing recently.
Had successful tests running Mach 2 and some engraving software.
Now on to some improvements to the table travel, gonna see what I can get
    out of it because 3.5 x 7 isn't enough.(Wish I would have splurged for the X3
    instead, but oh well.)
Plan on making a remote pendant from a usb thrustmaster joystick.
Just bought a Dewalt laminant trimmer. Have one more bracket to make to
mount it on the head for better engraving.
Does anyone know if the X2 spindle can be turned on/off from Mach 2 using
    M3/M5 thru the controller?
more stuff to come, Have autocad drawings for all the mounting brackets
that I made to mount the steppers and such if anyone wants them.
The DRO is one I made from a ShumaTech kit.
    Later Hoss

    Hi Hoss,

Looks like a nice job on your conversion. What type and size of drive screws did you use?

I have an X2 that I am about to startt a conversion on. I would appreciate getting a copy of your drawings if the offer is still valid. I'll send you a private message with my email.

    Thanks,
    Robert

About the DRO - I see the X scale is not protected at all. You might want to put some kind of cover over it. I use transparent film from a hobby store. Fashioned it into "U" channel, say 1/2 wide, 1.5" tall and installed it over
    the scale.

BTW, what scales are those ? My X2 is fully converted, but I am looking
for a longer one for when my Super X3 shows up mid Fed (or so I hope

    Hey Rashid11,
thanks for the headsup on the scale cover, will make it happen.
    I bought them on Ebay from a guy I don't recommend.(800watt)
He has great prices but took forever to send them
and is lousy about replying to emails. heres his link if you want to give it a shot or search for a similar seller.

    Have Fun, Hoss
