Jeff,
Mach3 requires a index pulse from the spindle in order for the RPM DRO "Readout" to function.
Jeff...
Ok I have a G0704 controlled by mach3. The spindle is wired to a C32 board via the 0-10Volt analog output to the G0704 DC controller. I have had the spindle at the max RPM with mach3 running the spindle and checked the 10Volt that needs to be coming out of the 0-10volt analog output on the C32 board. Everything seems to be working fine.
Now for the problem, The RPM on the mill (not Mach3) says it is doing 2450 RPM but I have no read out on the spindle RPM on the Mach3 screen. How do you get the info to mach3 to read the RPM?

Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.
Do you have the original rpm display of the G0704? It can be tied into your BOB for that pulse. Mhackney knows how to do it. Pm him or get him to explain how here.
A lazy man does it twice.
Im tuned into this. Very good info to learn.
Michaels tutorial reuse of the G0704 Tach can be found here.
