    Default wan tai d6560 setup

i ve purchased wan tai d 6560 control board. the board works fine with mach3 , on old pc with xp os and built in printer port. my new pc was not having printer port ,hence i installed parallel port cable with db 25 port.the os system is xp.the dotmatrix printer works fine with new printer port but the wan tai control does not.all 4 l.e.d. indicator lights goes on as soon as i connect printer cable and power supply to the board.actually leds are indicators for 4 axis when they get signals from mach3.when i connect set up to old pc ,4 leds lights up only when i load g code in mach 3 and starts cycle..the ports and pins configuration on boath pcs is as per the wan tai catalog.
kindly help me to solve this problem
    thanks in advance

Buy a product called a 'smoothstepper usb', it fixes that. Those cheapo printer cables have to be full compliment DB25 but are usually only 3 or 4 pins.

    Wisdom results from foolishness!
