Default looking for a little advice.

I have been interested in purchasing a cnc for sometime now and believe i am ready to do so soon.i was wondering if anyone had suggestions for machines?i would be working in harder metals like stainless, cold rolled steel and alum and from time to time woods.i was wondering which cnc's have the most diversity of use also?light engraving, sculpting, mold making, part milling, prototyping.i was hoping to stay well within the 10k range if possible and the size doesnt matter so much, but the bigger the better.18x10x10" work area (approx.)at minimum.I have been looking at syil 4x(both models).any thoughts on these machines or something like them would be appreciated.

I don't have one, but have you considered a Tormach?

They have a 'small cnc buyer's guide' document that may be of interest:

Small CNC Buyer's Guide -Engineering and Machine Design | Tormach LLC | We provide personal small CNC machines, CNC tooling, and many more CNC items
