Looks relatively simple to make really.
Couldn't you make the ring, bolt holes and then cut a gap with a hacksaw or slitting cutter?
Where can I find this clamp on collar that is designed to be attached to a pulley? I'm trying to duplicate simpson36's 4th axis, but I can't find this part. He indicated that it's an off the shelf item.

I probably could make it. However on a part like this, I'd rather buy it since the piece of steel will probably cost as much as the ready to buy part.
mcmaster has them. by the way nice videos you put together.

Amazing, I looked yesterday at McMaster and then suddenly after following your link they appear. Thanks a lot! For anybody else who finds this thread, the part I'm looking for is called a "Face Mount Collar". It's all about knowing what you are looking for.
Glad you liked the videos. With any luck, I'll have some more interesting projects coming soon to the channel.
