I use Mobilcut 102. I was curious what everyone else uses. I mostly cut copper and aluminum. Koolmist worked for the aluminum, but it didn't work well for copper.

My problem is that the grainger by me closed down. Now I am looking to purchase online and figured I would get more input from you guys.

I use Koolmist for both aluminum and brass as a mist. What was the problem with copper?

    cheers,

We use blaser on everything. I will say the dedicated copper guys all use flood oil, not coolant.

Copper seems to need a thicker oil, the koolmist as a flood coolant didn't seem to work. Worked great with aluminum, but just not copper. I still don't know jack, but that was just my experience.

I've been using Trim E206 as flood coolant. Seems to work well, I haven't had growth problems, and it works over a wide concentration range so I don't worry too much about keeping that in balance.

I tried Koolmist for flood, but it doesn't offer very much lubrication even when mixed in stronger batches. It also seemed to lead to rust, where the Trim E206 that I use dries into a oily/greasy residue that protects steel. Koolmist (as the name implies) seemed to work pretty well for mist cooling.

What is the mixing ratio of the Trim E206 with water?

    3-10% is the recommended range.

I mostly work in aluminum and probably run about 8-10%.
