I'd jump on that g3102 for the same price.
It's like a mini kneemill.
you'll be on your own for cncing it, no kits for that.
It should be a very rigid machine.

Hi, I have been following all your G0704 builds for some time but have not purchased yet. Today I found a local guy selling what looks like a new G3102 for about the same price as a new G0704. Since I hope to convert to CNC eventually do you think the G3102 is a good idea? I see they are very different mills so I'm not sure which way to go. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Gosh, you've... really got some nice toys here. - Roy Batty -- http://www.g0704.com
Theory of operation is all the same but for the Z-axis the knee (bed) of the machine moves upward rather than the spindle moving down. I see the G3102 has a slightly smaller travels but that machine would be solid.
