Need some help, in fact lots of help, in hooking up speed control to my Sherline mill and lathe. I've little experience to start with and knowledge on electronics is almost zero. But I'm willing to try.
My setup consist of a SmoothStepper and Gecko G540. I would like to know how to hook up the VFD on the G540 to my Sherline speed control. I was told that I need a switch (double pole) and a 10VDC power supplier (which I can use those wall wart type from old cameras and mobile phones). I can do some basic soldering.
Would appreciate if some kind folks here can help me with a step by step instructions of what I need to do to hook this up to control my spindle speed. Pics would be great, if its not too troublesome. I'm on Mach3.
