Is anybody running this type of barfeed? We have been shearing off the "flag" from the pushrods like crazy. I'd say about 1 a month or so. Anyway, I've had 2 techs in from Iemca and they both checked alignment and the clutch etc...They seem to believe that the vibration is causing the flag to shear off but if the machine is aligned, and the material is not bent then what gives.. |

| have you found the solution yet? one thing to check is to ensure that the flag "drops" easily after the bar is pushed past during the facing cycle. you should be able to move the flag easily by hand. i think there is a bushing in the frame (not the penumatic half bushings) if is protuding to far inside the bar feeder or is able to "walk" that could block the flag from moving freely ....hope any of this helps |
