    Question about Keling Spindles

This might be a dumb Question but on the KL-2200 Milling Spindle. Do you need an external Pump for the water cooling or is this built into the spindle.

Does this Spindle include a spanner/Wrench and any collets... The website is very vague on info makes me nervous wanting to buy these items from them.

Or its just my complete ignorance.

You need an external pump. Some people are using aquarium or other similar small pumps.

Do a forum search on "chinese spindles" and you will find quite a bit of information.

Also see the video on the first post in this thread. He is using a cpu cooler radiator to cool the spindle: New spindle motor fitted

If you buy direct from China, you can get it for less than half the Keling price.

I think they come with one collet and one nut, but I'm not sure. Don't know about a wrench, either.

What type of pneumatic valving is required when using the tool changer on these spindles?

Just so the there is no confusion, the spindles under discussion are the ER collet spindles not the tool change spindles.

I imagine the tool change spindles operate on about 90 psi so any manual or solenoid operated pneumatic valve with the appropriate rating should work.

Yes, when you buy from Keling, if you have a problem, you won't have to ship it back to China and wait for a replacement.

lmao boy that was quick any way just get one from china I did no problems and the ones i dealt with are very friendly even covered half the cost on transfer fee's of cores if you use paypal you don't have to worry about that there better then you would expect them to be there quite and run very smooth here

    http://cgi.ebay.com/WATER-COOLE-MOTO...t_12082wt_1165

half the price you will spend at keling if not less of cores you might want to try there best offer listing they normally will take $60 lass then the listing I sent here

they don't come with the wrench you can use your every day open end wrenches so it's kinda pointless to send you one with it and of cores it comes with one collet so you will have to get a set you can just use a water cooling system for a gaming computer to cool the motor

you just get the vfd and the motor after you have the vfd just buy the spindles if you are running more then one machine or spindles on a single machine just hook up a couple toggle switches to switch from one to the other ($5.00 vs $250 savings)

of cores steppers drives power-sp breakout boards your really not going to do better just go to keling for all that

just one collet no wrench (not required just use your every day open end wrenches) and go buy a set of collets you will need them.

no pump you will need an external one plus heat exchanger and lines+reservoir you can get a liquid cooling kit for a computer for under a $100 and they work just fine with these spindles and should have every thing you need to cool it
