If I have 3 steppers (1.76 v dc, 2A, 1.8*/step) and the hobby cnc Pro board, will this power supply work?
KL-150-24 24V/6.3A
http://www.kelinginc.net/SwitchingPowerSupply.html
or this one:http://www.trcelectronics.com/Meanwell/rs-75-24.shtml
Output Voltage: 24 Volts DC
Min Current: 0 Amps
Max Current: 3.2 Amps
Power: 76.8 Watts
Thanks Crevice Reamer!
What are the advantages of the higher voltage?
those 2 you suggested have a better amp rating, the KL-300-36 is out of stock, so that would only leave me with the KL-320-36 36V/8.8 or 9.6A
Well you can always NOT use the extra amps. The PSU will only supply what the motors draw.
The advantage is in efficiency--More top speed, less lost steps. It's all explained in here somewhere:
What is between....
CR.
Thanks for that link, I'll bookmark it

True, I wouldn't want the motors to be wanting more than the PSU can give.
Ordered the KL-320-36
