In the holding positions the current is 0.3Amp, during the acceleration i get 0.4 to 0.5, making force by hand at F150 mm/min ( 6 inch/min ) 0.36Amp, forcing the motor reaching the axis limit I have 0.6 amp. If move the potentiometer and the other end the holding position is 0.140Amp. Nothing to do, this driver board offered for 2.5Amp only give 0.6 with a 282 Oz/inch motor at 36Volt, bipolar wired as series. The current was measured in the imput of the driver board, that mean than is measuring the current of the board and all the motor poles at the same time. Regards, Amedeo.

When I measured the current of my Keling drivers I measured the actual current through one winding of the motor with the motor holding at 0 rpm. It measured almost exactly to specification, but not consistently. I remember jogging the motor a few times, and each time it would stop I would get a different reading depending on the microstep position it stopped at, but the highest reading always matched the max current setting. I assume in full step mode the holding current would always be maximum driver current setting no matter where it stops. I could be wrong. My Mechatronics board came from autohec on Ebay. I would to recommend anyone who is using this board, if you are not happy with the performance of your motors, get some decent drivers before changing anything else. Jon

Hi Gang! Thanks for the heads up Crevice Reamer. You're right- the package price is only about 20 bucks lower than the sum of the parts, so I just ordered what I need from Keling. Now begins the oh boy oh boy oh boy it's hard to wait phase. Cheers, Jim

Hey Gang, I got my electronics from Keling yesterday and realized I neglected to secure a 5v power source. I have a Logitech wall wart rated at 6v and 400 mah; will that work or is that extra volt really too much for it? Thanks! Jim
