Ive bought 6 of the 4030 boards from keling, and created some better diagrams and info sheets for them. here: http://www.robertguyser.com/download...iles/index.php incidently, these same modules with a different silkprint are also available from circuitspecialists.com for roughly the same price...I would like to know more about these products. anyone got any leads? Robert

| Hi Robert, Excellent schematics, agreed that Keling need to upgrade their documents. Hey. I'm planning to buy Keling 4 axis stepper kit with 495 oz/in motors and the KL-4030 drivers. How good is Keling products and would recommend it? Thanks Sant |

| well i just bought some and i am more then happy with the look and feel of the package i got this is what i bought from them 1-nema34 640oz 2-nema23 495 3-kl-6050 driver

| I have bought 6 motors from them and think they are fine. 3 425 oz and 3 495 oz. I have bought two power supplies from them and they are great. a 48VDC 7.3 amp and a 72 VDC @ 12 amps. Nice products @ decent prices.

| Hello, I recently bought Keiling 425 oz 3 axis package with the 4030 drivers. I am ith limited knowledge about electricity and electronics. I used the diagram from mr. vacpress which was a great help... Thanks. my question is about the 5v power supply.. how do I know which wire is pos and which is negative? Also would it be possible to upload a picture of my wiring for someone to double check. all I have left to wire are 5 v power supply and motors. This is a wonderful site for me to visit. Thanks for your help. Bob |

| Hello Robert - For being so knowegable about the kelling controllers (4030): What is the horizantal line on the microstepping scale? I think its the factory setting? No micro stepping? What is a good setting to start at for microstepping, 1 or other? 1 seems to run my motors 100 times faster than horiz. line seting. I still have a lot to lear on setting up my motors? Any feedback would be great. The sheets you made up look good. |

| Hi robotkid I dont have the answer to most of your questions. but i do know if you are running full steps verses 1/8 step, the 1/8 step will be slower and more accurate. the lower the fraction, say 1/16 takes more pulses per second to turn the motor. we are ususally held back by the weakest link, say the computor processor speed, or the speed in which the controller can process the signals. i like speed myself. sorry if this is not much help, i am fairly new to this, and in fact you could probably be helping me with my machine. are you using the 4030 drivers? tell me about your machine. bob |

| Hello Bob, I'm building my first cnc router machine 2x3.5 ft table, I started with the design of buildyoucnc.com tutorial, and have modified it use the acme threaded rod (10 tpi) and the dumpstercnc antibacklash nuts. I think the dumpstercnc site has great couplers as well. If you look at myspace under bluerobotkid, you can find some pictures of the machine as I am building. I have the machine assembled except the motors mounted right now. I am using the 4030 drivers from kelling with KL23H2100-30-4B motors (it came in the 3 axis package) I'll try to post some up here as well. - Ben |

| HI BEN, YOURS SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD MACHINE TO START WITH. I ALSO BUILT A MACHINE OVERALL DIMENSIONS ARE 30" Y AND 36" X 5" Z I BOUGHT BELT DRIVES INSTEAD OF SCREWS, I MAY BE SORRY, I DONT KNOW YET AS I SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIRE IT UP IN A WEEK OR TWO. I AM STILL FRETTING OVER THE ELECTRONICS. I AM TO THE POINT OF PLUGGING IT IN TO SEE IF MY WIRING IS CORRECT. I AM USING QUICKSTEP4 PROGRAM WITH PULSE PACER, I JUST INSTALLED IT LAST NIGHT AND AM GETTING FAMILIAR WITH THE PROGRAM. WHAT PROGRAM ARE YOU USING. BOB |

The link is forbiden? I'm about to wire my setup (after a few months!) I'm a little confused as to the labelling on the KL-4030 drivers, as the ones I have are labled different. For the hook-ups I have: VCC+ GND - A+ A- B+ B- then: ENA- EMA+ (+5V) DIR- DIR+ (+5V) PUL- PUL+ (+5V) Just to verify, does: ENA = REST DIR = CW PUL = Step Thanx! |
