I would like to test my 5056D with my existing steppers. The were connected to a G540 before and my understanding was I hooked them up in bipolar series due to maximum current of 3.5A on the G540. However on the 5056D the maximum seems to be 5.6A so maybe a different wiring configuration is in order? Is this true? What will be the gain? Speed? Torque? Both? Also the steps per unit on my G540 is 101000 per inch. The dip switches on the 5056D dont seem to allow for this or the manual is misprinted or I dont understand how to select a higher resolution. Tips? |
