voltage on phases of KL 4030

Hi to all!! i am newbie on stepper world, i have questions about stepper driver KL 4030 with keling 36 V power supply(set for full step and 2.7 A). I have a PIC16F84A that send the pulse/dir signal to the kl 4030 driver, when i push a button the stepper (keling 425 Oz-in in bipolar parallel) make 2 turns in full step mode, when stepper is static after turn, i measure the voltage on A+ A- and B+ B-and only one phase is active. i think it should be both phases active, because holding torque is low. Can i really take the 425 oz-in from kL 4030 when stepper is on zero RPM?
do you have voltage in both pashes on your KL 4030 when stepper is static?
i think that sequence signal for the coils for full step muts to be :

Full step for mx holding torque

    step A B C D
    1 +Vcc Gnd +Vcc Gnd
    2 +Vcc Gnd Gnd +Vcc
    3 Gnd +Vcc Gnd +Vcc
    4 Gnd +Vcc +Vcc Gnd

Active both phases at same time

help me please because i think the problem is my driver i want to prove that...

    thanks!!!

    Luis

I do not have any direct experience with that driver, however stepper motor documentation such as Jones on Stepping Motor Types shows that you can get full stepping with a power sequence having either only a single winding active at any time, or with both windings active at the same time. Both windings active gives a higher torque.

So your driver may be operating as designed.

    thanks for response!!

Then I think this driver do not give the max torque because is only single phase at the same time. so what driver could work with both phases sequence at full step mode?
