| Thanks les I move your copmment to here: Les Foster Location: Canada Posts: 6 Keling's New Digital Drivers For anyone interested in the new digital drivers, they are amazing for reducing if not eliminating resonance noise in my system, 11 ft screw at 12" ipm. Thanks Keling Les |

I built a 4-axis cnc router and I used two motors slaved together for the x-axis. The resonant frequencies when I moved the x-axis had me completely baffled. I wasn't sure if the problem was mechanical or not. The noises occured at exactly the same points and only in one direction. It varied on each side of the x-axis. I wished that my x-axis sounded like my y-axis. It stunk because I knew that my machine was well built but anybody watching it work would think otherwise. I took a chance and purchased the digital steppers from Keling. WOW! Total silence when I moved in the x-direction! It worked beautifully. The x-motors were so quiet that I decided to switch out the analog drivers for my y and z axis. My a-axis driver sounds ok, and I think it is because it is a newer technology Keling analog driver. I designed and built my CNC from scratch and to have it work this well first time around would not have been possible without John at Keling or Greg at Warp9 for that matter. |

The digital driver has better perfromance, lower noise, less heating, smoother movement , eliminating resonance noise. Check here Digital driver |

I just received 1 KL-8056 Driver and tried it out on my X axis. It worked great I was able to double the speed without the motors stalling. I am using nema 34 from Keling. The problem that I am having is that I am getting a lot of noise introduced into my Z axis home prox switch. When I home the z axis it hits the switch just barely starts to back off and stops, the led on the diagnosis screen for that input will flash radoml, but the led on the switch it self stays on and never comes off. When I swithced the driver back to the Keling KL-8078 everything goes back to normal. Does anyone have any ideas for me to try to fix this? I already tried uping the debounce to 2000 no help. I also am using a smoothstepper and a c-10 BOB. Thanks, Tom |

I need some calculation help to see if what I would like to do will work. I am looking at this stepper motor. Stepper Motor Max RPM on motor is 1,000 RPM Now if I have it geared to 3-1 between motor and screw drive and the screw drive is 5 turns per inch, Will this raise and lower a unit that weighs 1,000 pounds if ran at 25% of max speed. Thanks Milton Stepper Motor |
