Switches 1-4 connect to pins 1-4 of the processor chip... only 1-3 seem to be defined for setting the microstep values. Switches 5-7 set the drive current Switch 8 visually is not connected on the circuit board. |

| Thanks. Obviously Switch 8 does nothing, if it is not connected. Any one know what switch 4 does? (my original post should have asked about dips 4 and 8, not 5.) I understand setting the stepping and current. But have never seen anything that says what the other 2 switches do. |
