    Default Wiring for KL23H251

Absolute noob on this stuff, so bear with me.

    I have two KL23H251-24-8B steppers

I will be running them from a Xylotex XS3025-8S-3 driver.
Application is a Emco 5 lathe with ballscrews.

Which of the 3 connections should I use?

That doesn't seen to match up with the spec sheet on those motors.
What do I do with the other 4 wires?

Also, max Amps on my driver is 2.5A.
In this case, would Bipolar Series or even Unipolar make better use of the available power?

    This just doesn't make sense.
Besides what appears to be a typo ("Green to B+, Black to B+" also on the linked page) this does not agree with any of the 3 connection diagrams on the spec sheet.

I have wired it per the Bipolar (series) Connection chart. I get motor lockup but no rotation when trying to jog in Mach3.

My problem may well be elsewhere, but I have no confidence in the motor wiring.
    Suggestions?

One field to A connections, the other to B connections. If it's a six wire motor, the center wires are not used. Use a multi-meter to determine motor wiring.

It's an 8-wire motor. I have the spec showing correct wiring (linked above).
The supplier's answer seems at odds with that, or at best incomplete.

Based on that, I guess i should check the motor wiring. Thanks

    AR1911,

I have purchased some stepper from Automation Tech for a GRBL / Shapeoko / Momus project in the past and can send some pics and diagrams of how they were wired if you are still having issues. As you (and the Tech) have worked out; certain pairs need to be tied together and actually takes a little trial and error with the help of a multimeter. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Turned out I had PC issues. I'll check back when that is squared away. Thanks!
