Inventor 2010 doesn't start

Hello

I have a big problem with Inventor 2010. My mashine ist crashed and since this moment Inventor 2010 doesn't start. When i try to launch it with a doppel click it happens nothing.

- i have use the repair function
- i have reinstall Inventor

I hope you can help me.

Did you re-install everything?
What OS are you running?
What hardware specs do you have?

Inventor is a ***** with memory. And with videocards and drivers.
Checklist:

1. Mouse and mouse driver version? Use the right driver.

2. Any 3D controller installed?

3. Antivirus version? During installation, turn Av of. Sounds stupid but it seems to work for IV....

4. Single or dual monitor display at what version, with right drivers if possible

5. Other programs or services running ( Good test - Reboot and
with only Inventor loaded, and without any files open, do Ctrl - Alt Del -
wha'ts the total RAM in use?

On a 2G XP 32 SP3 system the memory usage is as
follows:
Clean reboot, Open IV full Pro 2010: 648MB

Open NEW assy file: 705MB in use

Place from Content Center (no files selected): 827 MB out of
2048 with 512MB reserved for system (Windows), That leaves about 700MB to play with.

As you can see from this example, a 2GB system with Pro
2010 really no longer has the "right stuff" to handle much more than a minimal
amount of files. Therefore, watch how many other apps you have running at
the same time. Those still on 1GB are really out of luck.

And check your log-books. there might be some obscure services crashing.

i only try to reinstall inventor. But at the moment i deinstall all autodesk software and i have deinstall my antivirus software. So and then i will update my drivers and follow your checklist. When i have finished, i post my result Thanks for your fast help.

My System is:

Windows XP Sp3
AMD Athlon 6000+
Ati Radeon X550 (Driver 8.191.0.0)
2gb Ram
Dual Monitor System

so i have done all..but nothing works. I have updated all drivers (also mouse-driver). I have deinstall all software from autocad..cleaned the registry and reinstall all without the antivirus programm running.
Your test with the ram i can't do, because i can't start IV... but i have looked in the autostart and have disabled all not neccessary things. But all other software Works..for example Inventor View, Mechanical 2010...

So all software by autodesk is removed, but remember: a small amount will always reside on your machine (unless you opt for a complete re-install of Vista...).
You could check the logbooks: clear them if needed, restart pc and read the logbooks again. hardware oke? applications oke?
I also discovered that a lot of users of IV2010 aren't all that happy running it. I know, you only read about the failures, people without problems won't react on the net that quickly!

One final thought: Autocad used to start with a default template. Shuld that be corrupted Autocad would crash on startup. Maybe ( I don't run IV for that matter!) IV2010 uses a default template and there might be a 'switch' that you can use to start IV while forcing it to use a new template?
