I have problem that I want to solve, but I'm not quite sure how is the best way to handle it. I'm hoping someone here has some experience with autocad 2000 & pen plotters... and the drivers for them. I have 2 projects that I want to deal with.
First, I have an old CalComp 1025 pen plotter that I think the control circuits are going out. The hardware still works perfect... when I can get it running. The problem I have is data errors. I've thought about building a new control board, but I don't know how to make a plotter driver that will work with autocad.
Second, I want to make my own plotter. I have the same issue here, I need to know how to make it talk to autocad.
I am a decent programmer. What I need is somewhere to start. Has anyone made their own drivers for autocad 2000? Can autocad 2000 work with hpgl / hpgl2?
