Problem- How to record an assembly in AutoCAD 2007

I have a 3D solid object that I am trying to record as a wmv or mpeg however, I need to record the process of putting the part together and not just a flyby or walkthrough of the finished part. I have used AutoCAD 2007 to design the part but can't figure out if it has the capability of piecing together parts while recording (i.e. moving and rotating pieces one at a time). Does anyone know if this is possible in AutoCAD or should I look at another program such as inventor/solidworks?

Do you know of any programs that can do assembly recording?

You could export it to an animation program. Blender and Truespace are free, but the learning curve would be steep.

Or use something like Solidworks like you mentioned.
