I have a 3D solid object that I am trying to record as a wmv or mpeg however, I need to record the process of putting the part together and not just a flyby or walkthrough of the finished part. I have used AutoCAD 2007 to design the part but can't figure out if it has the capability of piecing together parts while recording (i.e. moving and rotating pieces one at a time). Does anyone know if this is possible in AutoCAD or should I look at another program such as inventor/solidworks? |

| No, not possible.

| You could export it to an animation program. Blender and Truespace are free, but the learning curve would be steep. Or use something like Solidworks like you mentioned.
