How do you create a cable that can be used in simulation? I'm trying to simulate a pulling action on a cable that is routed through retainers and pulleys. I've tried just using wire in Cable and Harness to simulate a cable but they're useless in sim mode. My best guess so far is to draw the cable in the path I want but I'm not sure how to add the constraints/joints in simulation mode. The cable won't be adaptive and needs to slide against retainers that I will be putting in place to keep the cable restrained to prevent it interfering with other parts. Wish I could post pics but I'm protective of my designs. |
