In Inventor Pro 2009, is it even possible to design spur gears under 1 inch dia. using a design generator?

Do I need to manually draw parts up if the programs generators can't do small parts?

You can do this. Keep in mind the gear generator works by allowing you to specify one part of the design while it calcs others.

note you may need to turn off calculation, otherwise the gear generator may be trying to calculate off of parameters that you're not interested in, such as horse power, etc
