    Image insert to world block

    hey All
Right i'm make a title block for drawings in autocad 2000. I'v hit a snag!!

I'm making a drawing border into a world block that can be inserted into the layout of existing drawings and want the company logo in the drawing border. But the logo is a .bmp and is causing me problems
When i insert the logo into the world block the file is linked back to an external bmp file outside of the world block. This is the problem, i need to make it independent of the link and embed the logo in the world block as the drawing borer will be used by several different cad users on several different machine and also drawing sent to customer also.
If i try to insert the drawing border in another computer the logo doesn't show just the original link from my computer where i had the logo saved.

Is there a way around this

    Thanks
    Niall

An image file is external to Autocad, so you will have to send the bmp (or other image file) along with the drawing. You can remove the path information from the link so the bmp is found in the same folder as the dwg, but the bmp will have to be in that folder.

Otherwise you could vectorise the bmp into an Autocad entity. Check shareware " Able Vector" (http://www.cadeast.com/)

I tried the able vector software and the conversion is too poor a quality for my needs, none of the colours are the same as the original, its pick up white as green .Is there any other vectorising software that you'd recommend

I'd just try to trace it in AutoCAD. It will probably be faster in the long run.
