    Angry Thermwood and AutoCAD

Hi, I am trying to get our Thermwood C67 5 Axis Router to accept .DXF files.

In the manual it says it is possible to draw a shape in AutoCAD and have a line of code over the start point on each entity, so you can change the feed rate, depth, etc.

I have attached the .DXF file from AutoCAD and the G-code file from the CNC.

Is it not working because of the font im using? It asks for a mono-spaced font, we have tried loads of different fonts.

    Thanks for you Help

Fonts will probably need to be exploded using Express Tools.

If using AutoCAD 2004 try saving as an earlier release like R14 .dxf ? or even a 2000 .dxf ?

There are levels when exploding certain things like multi-line text. I downloaded your DXF and the first time I explode your MULTI-LINE TEXT it becomes TEXT, the second time I explode the same selection it becomes GROUP OF GRAPHICS, the third time I explode the selection it becomes several POLYLINES, and I explode it even twice more after that to finally get it to a bunch of LINE(s).
I've used many DXF to G-code converters, even wrote one myself and a few can read polylines and some can only read lines (not polylines).
Give this a try, I believe it will work although I'm not familiar with Thermwood.

In AutoCAD, you can only explode text with the explode text express tool, and you should only need to do it once. This will get you polylines, though. If you need regular lines, use the regular explode command on the polyline text.
