Hi Everyone, I am looking to buy 1-2 programs to Help me in my designing of wood baseball bats? What Programs would you recommend? Thank you  |

| A baseball bat would have to be one of the simplest things to design. If you intend only designing bats and nothing else I would suggest you seek out some freeware like sketchup or something similar. There is no point in spending money on software if that's all you plan designing. Splint |

| Then pretty much any free 2D CAD program would be more than enough.

| Hi: Minna is also looking to generate toolpaths for the lathe, so he'll require (IMO) 1) a cad package to design the product. 2) a simple turning oriented CAM package to generate the Gcode for his lathe. or a combined CAD/CAM package. regards |

| I've heard that Dolphin has a good lathe CAM package, but have no experience with it. They also have a CAD package as well. Might want to look into that.
