How do I print a drawing to scale across multiple A4 sheets? I am trying to print out Joes Cnc dwg files but either it resises to the a4 page or it prints a corner of the drawing. I have set the scale to 1:1 in mm. Thanks |

| Draw some reference lines and do 4 separate prints, and align them to your reference lines. AutoCAD has no built in way to print across multiple pages.

| Use the window setting when printing to select the area to be printed and the scale should be 1=1 if the page is in paper space. If you are printing from model space then you will have to take into account the size of the boarder because the parts should be drawn 1=1 units with scaled details, then you will need to print to the boarder scale while using window to select your 4 - A4 sheet areas. I have not seen Joe's drawing so I could not speak more directly to the issue. Hope this helps |

| Are you familiar with Layouts in AutoCAD? (2000 and later I believe) What I do is Select a layout tab and set up the paper size I wish to use. This takes about 30 seconds for me to set up (done it often) and is great when attempting to plot out drawing areas without carring about the title blocks. This also insures you maximize the usable area of your printer. I am sure there are many other ways, but this one works for me. BMG |
