I'd like to take a 2D drawing from AutoCAD and use it for a sketch in a part file in Inventor. Is there a way to do this? Whenever I try to import it to Inventor it just opens up as a drawing. |

| open the 2D autocad drawing, select all the entities you want to copy, use "Edit...Copy With Basepoint" select a basepoint Then in the inventor sketch environment simply "paste" Be aware that none of the constraints will come over with the 2d info however. |

| If you need 3D in inventor, maybe you can extrude or rotate the 2D shape, then cut and paste, using Copy with basepoint to get it into Inventor.
