I just bought a used IBM 6094-030 Spaceball ($25 + $9 s/h). Ebay has about a dozen of them listed. I downloaded the 2003 driver from : http://www.3dconnexion.com/downlink.asp Got it running with no problem. I got it for Inventor, but there is also a driver that works for Autocad. Great for 3d rotation and zooming. Does anyone know what advantage the new $300 models have over this model. Bill |

| I would not worry too much about the difference between yours and the new ones. Any 'Spaceball' is a huge step forward from having none at all. Full 6 DOF. Improved Sensitivity and response. Improved ergonomic feel. Reliability has been improved. Improved user interface. The latest ones have USB interface. But that what progress is I think you got a good deal on yours. Have fun and enjoy. |

| TAB, I went to the link above and selected the product "spaceball 2003". Then choose the operating system. (mine is Windows 2000). There is an option from there to download a driver for "All supported Autodesk Applications" check that and click download. I have a copy, if you can't get it from there, I can email it. (if you use the same Spaceball/Acad ver/OS) Bill |
