AutoCad letters...

I'm trying to creat text letters in AutoCad, and put them in Mastercam and then do a contour cut in some 1/8" hard board. I can create text and letters in AutoCad, but I don't think they're "machineable" letters. MasterCam will display the letters, but I can't seem to select them like when I normally transport something from AutoCad to MasterCam. Is there a way to convert text into some sort of special lines, or export it in another form? Not quite sure what to do. Maybe there's another way of creating letters in AutoCad I don't know about. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

You need the express tools (Included with 2004 or 2005 and up) to explode the text. Like Rob, I use Outline Art as well. Faster and easier.

Thanks for the link to the software, it looks great. I have AutoCad 2006, just not completely sure of all of its features yet. What would the command be. From the link, I gathered I need to change the letters into "vector-contour's." Or do I just have to use that program?

Actually, I went in the help file and looked up the express tools. I found it, and it was already on my menu bar. I see how to explode the text, and it worked perfectly! Thanks guys!

Mastercam has it's own letters generator...
it's not the greatest, but it works...
