Why is it so hard to change the default number of decimal places that are used when dimensioning an inventor idw? Why does it default to 2 places? who would use 2 places for a mechanical drawing? Someone please tell me how to change this to default to 3 or more decimals! |

| sounds like you are using a default template. you should make your own and configure your dim style to display how you want it. this way you dont have to change anything in the style manager or the dimensions themselves |

| You can change the default template it is saved in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor (version)\Templates Basically open it up change the setting on the number of decimals and anything else you want changed and then save it. |

| I cant figure out how to change it in the template im working in except to manually enter each dimension and then change it for each one. Can you tell me how to change the default number of decimals so i dont have to manually change each one? |
