    Parametric dimensions

hello, I am hoping someone can help with an Autocad problem I ran into.

I am working on what I thought was a easy project that is getting tricky...for me. What I have is a taper that just has charted dimensions. Everytime I get a new one, I have to redraw it to get the values for my CNC. I am trying to create a "template" so that I enter the variables from the print and all of my dimesions update. The part that I am stuck at is this: The green line is supposed to be offset at a given distance from the blue lines. I can get the vertical lines to be parallel, vertical, and at a given distance. I can also get the angled lines to be parallel, but how do I create the parametric constraint for the spacing?

figured it out - I needed to use aligned dimension and then type 2L for 2 lines. I kept missing typing 2L.
