Strange shadows in mirror - please help | | Hi everyone
I wonder if someone could help me with a problem I have with my render.
I am using 3ds max design 2010 and am fairly new to Max so sorry if this is a silly question but I have tried searching google and can’t find an answer.
I have attached my render which was done using Mental Ray, the scene is lit with photometric lights, it’s a closed room with no windows.
The problem is the shadows where the walls and ceiling meet and where the walls meet but only in the mirror reflections (there are 2 mirrors in the scene on separate walls). These shadows look ok at other points in the render it’s just in the mirrors where they look strange.
The mirrors have the pro-material mirror material applied but there doesn’t seem to be much in there to alter.
I know it’s probably going to be something simple but I would really appreciate any help with this problem.
Thanks in advance for your help.
