Could someone point me the way to draw the aluminum angle brackets used for skate bearings in Inventor? I started in sketch mode with an angle, did an offset, connected and trimmed to create an end view. I extruded this to the desired length. I could then create new sketches to drill the holes in the sides for the bearings. All fine. But I can not get the mounting hole through the center of the angle, much less the flat spot for the bolt. Seems like I need a new work plane or something. I’ve also tried to sketch the side view, extrude to the thickness of the aluminum, and then create the opposite side, but I really got lost here. Hope I’ve explained my self OK. I am using Inventor 9. Thank you, Steve |

| There is an area that shows all the extrusions and sketches you have done, in tree form. It also has a folder that you can expand which has the X/Y/Z work planes in it. When I want to drill a hole in a part, a tube for example - I choose a work-plane that is perpendicular to the part, then click on the Sketch button. This will give you a sketch workspace on that plane. Then just do your hole as normal.
