The is no best CAM, the best is the one you can get the job done fastest. BTW, how much are you will to spend? get what you are pay for, Period.![]()
Im extreamly new to cnc programs, me and my friend bought a Kx3, first cnc machine. I understand that the kx3 uses mach3, and i have to make a 3d drawing in a cad program and use a cam program to convert it to g-code so that mach 3 can use. I use autodesk inventor 2011 and im wondering what is the easiest program to convert my inventor files to g-code? Thank you for any help.

The best way to learn is trial error.
I would try CamBam! It's free (bata version 0.8, Rel 2) or currently about $149.00 for the newest commercial version (0.9.7)
