Hi everyone, new to this awsome site and also to the autocad world. Ive tried searching with no detailed luck. I want to know how to convert an image JPEG or BITMAP to DXF file without having splines. I have used the program inkscape which does a great job in tracing the image and converts then can save as a DXF but it leaves it will a million splines. I need the image to be converted to an image free of splines. I need it to be polylines and or arcs. Elipses are no good either. This is for an industrial laser cutter. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have done manual tracing but that takes forever. lol Thanks everyone. |

| If you have the file in AutoCAD, save it as a v12 .dxf file, then close it, and open the .dxf The splines should be gone. Or, try using this v12 .dxf export plugin for Inkscape. http://mydxf.blogspot.com/2008/11/inkscape-r12-dxf.html
