connecting points

I want to put a bunch of zyx points on the screen and be able to connect them with a surface. How do I do this? I have a bunch of point of my side yard and want to make a virtual map of the land.

Here's how I get X,Y points into AutoCAD:

Your co-ordinates should be separated by a comma. Numbers only. Each co-ordinte pair on one line.

Make sure the first line contatins the word "PLINE"

Make sure the file is saved with an .SCR extension.

Run AutoCAD and type the command "SCRIPT" and select the .SCR file you just made.

You can then select PLINE and EXPLODE it if you want.

Dunno if it works for X, Y, Z but it works for X, Y so don't see why not

So your .SCR file would be in the following format:

PLINE
0,0
123,456
132,165
etc...
