I looking for a way to load fonts and scan images into Auto Cad to get a .dxf for a plasma table. I have tried a few free cad programs and I can save the fonts as a .dxf, but Auto Cad won't load the file. I am not opposed to buying a program, but I would like to make sure I get one that will work. Any Hints - Recommendations? Also, I am new to this forum, it seems to take forever to load. The first page will come up but it is a while before I can scroll down. Is there anything to change or is it just the ads? Thanks |

| If you need to load dxf or dwg files into your version of AutoCad and are having a problem, try A9Tech it has not let me down yet and its free. Al.

| I've used this in the past for getting .dxf text into AutoCAD. http://www.dwgtool.com/outline.htm I've also used Insert>Raster image and then traced over it. And as Al said, use A9 converter to convert to a version that AutoCAD can open. As far as the site loading slow, it may be your connection is not that fast. It's very fast for me. If it does seem to hang, try hitting refresh and see if that helps.

| ProCad will load dxf files and behaves exactly as Autocad so you'll be familiar with it, the free version (for domestic use only is 2009 version) http://www.progesoft.com/ look down the bottom of the screen for the 2009 version
