I am using Inventor 9.0 and it is a great program. The program took me 3 days to come up to speed and I am 64 and started with ACAD with version 1.2 back in the 80's.

I use Inventor 10 and we're about to go to 11. I love it. Hardly use Autocad or Mechanical except for wiring diagrams and old dwg's for reference.
I just wish Mach 3 would import inventor files and run G code. I'd be a happy camper.

    Amorris-
As you're probably already aware, niether Mach3 or Inventor are CAM packages.

Do you need a CAM package? Almost any of them can read your Inventor files once you export as an IGES, STEP, or SAT. furthermore any 2D work can be saved out from drawing space as a DXF which can be readily read by all CAM packages (as well as MACH3)
