    Not sure what your question is specifically. I do rigid tapping and it works great. It's the same as a drill operation, except you select tapping for the cycle type instead of drilling or deep drilling or whatever. Heights are set the same as drilling. Feed is determined by tap size and spindle RPM, so only spindle RPM needs to be set.

    OK, now I'm interested in trying tapping using a multi-flute thread mill.. looks like it needs to go down to the bottom of the hole, move to the side, go one turn around the hole, then extract...

    anyone know the jazzy way of doing this in HSMworks?
