Default Selecting a @$#$load of Geometry that is all the same

I have to select 140 of these ********. They're all the same. They're all on the same plane. Is there a faster way to do it than 140 clicks?

pattern is just for doing the same operations on multiple pieces right? that would reduce my click count to 14, but I'm still wondering if there's a way to select all similar shapes or something.

Try changing the view to a side and box select from bottom left to top right (this will only select everything that is completely inside the box). conversely, box selecting from the top right to the bottom left will select everything inside the box and touching the lines of the box. Might work.

I used to do that in Sprutcam, but the only selection method they seem to allow when selecting geometry for a CAM operation is the paint method for some reason.

I think a pattern is going to be your best bet here.

I asked on the forum about the selection tool, Nup does not exist.

I am going to do a ideastation idea for this it would be handy in some case's.

One thing that I do is put features that I need to select as a group on their own layers. That way you can turn the other features off and grab only the ones you want with a bounding box.

I'm assuming these cutouts and both patrts are the same? If so, why would it be 14 clicks? It looks like one click for your first part at G54 with a pattern, and zero clicks if you use a G55 for the second part. Forgive me if I'm over simplifying it, but I'm only going by your picture.

There's no question that for this simple part, a cam pattern can be used.

I must have either missed Jim's suggestion or didn't understand it at first, but that's what makes the most sense as a workaround. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think fusion has layers, but if I isolated those parts to their own sketch, I could probably select them all by selecting the sketch. That won't work if they're faces, but curves, perhaps.

You just make BS layers, sketch what ever in one file sketch 2 in another so on and just rename the sketch as layer 1, 2 what ever.

I don't think we will ever get layers we just have to make them up in different sketches or files

Create a sketch on the plane. Project all edges to the plane. Delete the outer lines. Pick the sketch for your geometry.
