Hi everyone,
Thought i'd post up and say hello, i think i have a lot to learn and look forward to poking around and learning from you guys
i work in an aerospace sheetmetal factory in port melbourne, looking after all the CAD work, and programming/operating the Multicam Routers and our Techni waterjet. I admit it is fun having these machines at my disposal
I use CATIA at work (which is fun

) and will soon be getting a seat for MasterCAM - This excites me ! haha
Most of the stuff we cut, being small sheetmetal parts cut from .020"-0.125" aluminium in 6061, 2024, 5083 etc. A big job we do on the routers is armor for a land vehicle made from 12.7mm 6061-t651 plate, which we also do on the waterjet.
We do a fair bit of stainless/mild on the waterjet, and for some older jobs we cut titanium, and silicone seals.
Anyway, I"ll definately be poking around as I have lots of questions to ask, and lots to learn , being that im responsible for programming/running the waterjet and the routers.
