Hello List, In offering this dissertation being my virginal posting it will regrettably expose my membership as hypocrisy in joining this forum as to date I have not actually started anything. I have read copious articles pertaining to this subject mainly in the Model Engineers Workshop magazine but that is about it. Notwithstanding my preface, I have preconceived concepts that I wish to achieve based on a gantry style router having a table area of 600X1200 with an adjustable gantry height enabling a rotary table to be used. To you this may sound some what bizarre as traditionally the gantry is kept relatively low mostly for rigidity but I want to machine a wide range of projects and materials. For the linear tracks and so on it is my intention to salvage what is required from an X-ray screening table that I shall have soon have. Regards to all, Doug Baker |

| Hi Doug Check out this post http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63995 If you are in Victoria its well worth the trip. Its for a BBQ which will be held on the 31st of January in Melbourne SE suburbs. Every BBQ held has been great and I am sure you will get lots out of it. You can get details of the address from the moderator 'ynneb' which is Benny spelled backwards. Cheers Derek
