hi all new to this site in the process of building a cnc router need to know what type of cad soft ware is the easyest to learn to cnc moulds out of mdf any body out there in to model planes speed seeker |

But it won't do what he wants to do. Creating molds requires a 3D CAD program. Regardless of which you choose, if you have no 3D CAD experience, the learning curve will be steep. I think that Rhino might be a good choice. But it won't be easy.

| Yep. I agree with Gerry. Steep curves. Not impossible, just time consuming. You can sometimes get an older copy of Turbocad pro off Ebay for about $50. This is how I started off with it, but have since bought two upgrades. It is a full 2d or 3d package with nice rendering capabilities for pretty realistic models. It exports in all the common file types that are then used in 2 or 3D cam packages. For those, I use Sheetcam and Meshcam. Still a little over $400 for the three packages, but well rounded for 3 axis machines.
