    Smart Drive?

Just thinking about a CNC router project and of course the question of stepper motor comes up immediately. Has anyone been using Fisher & Paykel Smart Drive motors as humungous steppers?

I don't think the angular resolution would be very good - there's a big difference between a 1.8 degree stepper and a DC brushless motor in a washing machine...

Try new-age-materials in Seaview for recovered steppers.
