Hi to all, Looks like a wealth of info here. I am attempting to convert a chinese zx30 round colum mill to cnc operation. Am trying for low budget, basic functionality will do over blinding performance. has anyone done a zx30 conversion??? I would be interested in what was done?? I already have some steppers, but am concerned they may be to small. I am going to run some feed tests and try different pully ratios Anyway must get back to shed, mill is in 200 pieces now!!! |

| ZX30= Same as Warco Major,Axminster,SIP,etc all the same imported mill, I have the Warco major GH version converted to CNC, It worked well enough on the standard Acme screws till I wore them out I got around to putting ballscrews on it last month. I posted some pictures relating to the conversion on cnczone somewhere....What drivers/motors do you have?
