What Cad/Cam Package do you 'stralians use...

Mastercam for me V9,cant seem to get into X..dunno why

Hi I've been lucky enough to use UG, Catia, Edgecam, Powermill, MastercamX but soon starting new Job using surfcam, I've been paid to learn them all.
It's hard to say which one I liked best, they all have good and bad points, at the moment I'm just using Fagor and Mazatrol feels like I've gone back to the dark ages.
I can't wait to use Surfcam I was really impressed with what I have seen so far.

Hi Zabba, With our new cnc Router we use V Carve Pro from Vectric.
It is excellent value for money at about $600 and we newbies find it easy to learn and use.

Yep, I use VCarve Pro and PhotoVCarve and you can't go past them for ease of use

Rhino for drawings and Meshcam and Freemill for the code.......cheap and easy...for a hobbiest like me!

at work i use ProCad/Cam 2006. for the drawing, then OneCNC for the code editing.
have also used Surfcam.

i use UG_NX for cad&cam now, used cimatron it13 for cam before .

Enroute 3.3 Plus. It came with the router & I like it- user friendly & easy to use, albeit pricey.

Do these other programs make the toolpaths as *.plt files, like Enroute does?
