    Quilting patterns

    Hi all
The wife has given me a project for my new router.... She makes quilts and would like me to make some stencils to mark the part to sew. I use v carve and can't draw a free hand line. Is there any way I can scan a line on paper and convert it to a tool path? Or are the other ways to do this?

    Thanks

I don't think vcarve will do it, you really need aspire. I forget, can you import dxfs into vcarve?
Machinists do it with greater precision and less tolerance!

Vcarve is fine for the job...

Scan a sketch of the template, import the image to vcarve and use the trace bitmap tool...

Quilting is often geometric shapes though. I've just done some equilateral triangle templates for a friend who quilts...
