| Hey everyone, well its done, we have just finished another great barbie, where lots of great notes and yarns were exchanged. After a bit of PC troubles were resolved, the guys actually saw the box run - i think there were a few dobters of its ability. I've attached a picture of the guys that showed up. L - R Benny, Shaun, Nigel, Michael (Garagefela) and Derek. I've also attatched one of Benny doing some work. Just to prove to all of you he is a man of many talents. Well, I hope everyone had a good time, I know i did. See you all at the next event. /Michael |

| Thanks Mikie fo a great day. It was great to catch up with every one again. You've done well on your machine too. I found it interesting talking about not only machines, but the bussiness side of CNC related work. Nigel, your bagpipe valves and niche was a very interesting concept. I really hope our training nights idea kicks off soon. |

| Hi Guys I've attached the URL of the linear guide system I was talking about. http://www.nexengroup.com/rp/ There is a distributor in Heidleberg @ http://www.nexengroup.com/nexen/jsp/...ontact/contact Price?, suitability for homebrew cnc?, thought it might be worth looking at. BTW thanks to Mikie and his wife for hosting the BBQ. Cheers Derek |

| Hey Mikie and Nigel, I found a use for that material you gave me. Cutting boards. You were right, it does machine beautifully. See below. Oh, the not so round edge was my fault and not the machines fault. I did not place zero properly, hence I did a touch of air cutting in one corner. Still it came out ok. I want more of that stuff. It'll be cutting boards for Christmas presents for all my family members this year ![]() Other ideas for its use could be drink coasters. Or hot serving dish table protectors. You could make a complete matching set of the lot. It wouldnt be the money you would make off them, but the money you saved instead of buying presents. | Hey Mikie, Just dropping you a line to say thank-you to you and your wife for your hospitality and opening your house for the great day. Your machine worked fantastic and even after having worked on CNC mills for years I never tire of watching something working under it's own steam. Except the time when I walked back to my machine to see the pineapple cutter glowing red under the coolant!!!!!!!!!! Cheers Michael |
